Spotify advertising

92% of Americans use Spotify daily, which creates great advertising opportunities for brands: video, audio and podcast formats are available for purchase. Delivering ads on Spotify means accessing a large first-party database. You can target users based on devices, moments, demographics, behaviours, and much more.

Today, advertisers can access Spotify’s engaged users via RTB thanks to SAX.

What is SAX?

SAX stands for Spotify Ad Exchange. This ad exchange allows advertisers to buy Spotify’s ad placements from other ad networks. It’s possible, for instance, to podcast directly via PMP with the direct SAX integration. Today, you can plug into SAX via DV360, Magnite, The Trade Desk and LiveTamp.

Advertisers will be able to buy Spotify ads via two additional ad network platforms very soon: Adform and Yahoo DSP.

What about Yahoo DSP?

It has been announced that SAX integration should be available on Yahoo DSP before the end of 2025.

What does it mean?

It means that Yahoo DSP users will be able to buy Spotify ad placements (Display ads, Audio ads, Video ads) directly from the Demand-Side Platform in the near future.
